Winter’s looking lush this year, because we’ve just dropped an elite limited edition COCKTAIL — introducing the Black Cherry French Martini - a slinky riff on the ‘90s classic that’s rich, ripe, and seductively red.
Available for a limited time only, this bottle is the perfect companion to the Australian winter - it doesn't quite require an open fireplace, but it’s definitely great cuddled up on the couch with a block of chocolate.
WHAT’S IN THE BOTTLE?
As with all of our COCKTAIL range, the Black Cherry French Martini is crafted with cold-pressed juices, craft spritits and bespoke ingredients you’d find behind a fancy cocktail bar.
Things get going with a sultry smack of black cherry, layered over velvety pineapple juice, our own lovingly distilled vodka and a zip of cold-pressed lime for that zesty finish we love.
WHAT DOES IT TASTE LIKE?
Think of sinking into the red velvet lounge of an underground Parisian cocktail bar at midnight whilst nibbling on a second dinner of dark cherry garnishes you conned out of the unsuspecting bartender.
It’s rich, smooth, and seriously grown-up, with just enough acidity to keep things fresh.
A BRIEF (AND BOOZY) HISTORY OF THE FRENCH MARTINI
The original French Martini is a little bit of a liar - neither French nor an honest Martini. It was born in New York in the halcyon days of the 1980s and rode the into ‘90s cocktail revival wave with serious success.
As “King Cocktail” Dale DeGroff notes in his book, the French Martini is “one of the sparks that got the cocktail-as-Martini craze started.” The mix of vodka, pineapple juice, and Chambord (a fancy French black raspberry liqueur), shaken til royally fluffy and served up has been a mainstay on many a cocktail list ever since.
We’ve taken the bones of that formula and dressed it up with red lipstick and a leather jacket.. Our riff swaps out liqueur for natural black cherry flavour, keeps the pineapple for texture and sweetness, and adds a twist of lime to wake it all up.

Cosy jumpers and your favourite takeout on the couch - duck pancakes with hoisin or a rich massaman curry.
